Global agricultural trading across seven regions
03Products & Services

What we source, supply, and move

Gramsway's offering has two halves: Products, what we source, supply, and move, and Services, how we move it and how we keep improving how we source it. Every line carries the same five-part treatment: what it is, where we source or provide it, how it's specified, who uses it, and why it runs through Gramsway.

Why trade with Gramsway
01

Complete Portfolio

Agricultural commodities, animal feed, and allied products together: the full farm economy, not just one slice of it.

02

Origination Network

Direct relationships across seven operating regions, from farm gate to port.

03

Quality Assurance

Independent inspection and certification standing behind every product line.

04

Integrated Logistics

Freight, storage, and port handling under one trading relationship, not several.

AProducts

Products

What Gramsway sources, supplies, and stands behind, organized into three lines: agricultural commodities, animal feed, and the allied products that support agricultural growth beyond the harvest itself.

A.1

Agricultural Commodities

We source, store, and move agricultural commodities from origin to destination on behalf of producers, processors, and end buyers worldwide.

03.1

Grains & Cereals

The staple crops that feed people, livestock, and industry.

Grains and cereals sit at the center of global food and feed demand. Gramsway trades wheat, corn/maize, barley, sorghum, and rice between origin markets and the mills, feed compounders, and food manufacturers that depend on steady supply.

Sourcing & Supply

We source wheat and corn primarily through our US and South American origination networks, complemented by African and European volumes, moving grain from harvest through our storage and port network to buyers worldwide.

Quality & Specifications

Cargoes are graded to standard international specifications: protein content and test weight for wheat, moisture and foreign-material limits for corn and sorghum, verified through independent inspection at load and discharge.

Applications

Milling and baking, animal feed rations, brewing and starch processing, and direct food-grade rice trade.

Our Edge

One counterparty for both the grain itself and the fertilizer that grew it, backed by storage and freight capacity that keeps cargoes moving on schedule.

03.2

Oilseeds & Edible Oils

From oilseed to crude and refined oil.

Oilseeds and their derived oils move through some of the world's busiest trade corridors. Gramsway trades soybean, sunflower seed, canola/rapeseed, palm oil, and groundnut across origin and destination markets.

Sourcing & Supply

South America and the US anchor our soybean origination, with African groundnut supply and European and Black Sea sunflower and canola volumes rounding out the portfolio.

Quality & Specifications

Oil content, free fatty acid levels, and moisture are verified against contract specification, with segregation maintained for identity-preserved or non-GMO requirements where required.

Applications

Edible oil refining, food manufacturing, biodiesel feedstock where locally mandated, and oilseed meal for animal feed.

Our Edge

Origination and the resulting meal by-product handled together, so buyers can secure both the oil and the feed-grade meal from one relationship.

03.3

Pulses & Beans

Protein-rich crops for food and feed markets.

Pulses are a fast-growing category in both direct food use and plant-protein processing. Gramsway trades chickpea, lentil, and yellow and green peas from key origination regions to processors and importers worldwide.

Sourcing & Supply

Volumes move primarily through our African and South American networks, with import distribution supported from our Middle East and European offices.

Quality & Specifications

Grading against size, color, and defect-count standards, with phytosanitary certification arranged for cross-border shipments.

Applications

Human food (canned, dried, and milled pulse products), plant-protein ingredient processing, and animal feed blending.

Our Edge

Pulses handled alongside our broader grain and fertilizer flows, giving smaller-volume buyers access to the same origination and logistics network as our larger grain trade.

03.4

Sugar

Raw and refined sugar, traded on contract.

Gramsway trades raw and refined sugar between producing regions and the refiners, food manufacturers, and distributors that need reliable, contract-backed supply.

Sourcing & Supply

Origination draws on South American and African cane-sugar supply, distributed onward through our Middle East and European offices into import markets.

Quality & Specifications

Polarization, color, and moisture specifications verified at loading, with documentation to support refiners' own quality programs.

Applications

Food and beverage manufacturing, industrial sweetener use, and wholesale and retail distribution.

Our Edge

Freight and storage capacity built for bulk sugar handling, keeping cargoes moving between harvest and shelf.

03.5

Cotton

Fiber and seed from the same crop.

Cotton trade spans two products from a single harvest: lint cotton for textile manufacturing and cotton seed for oil and feed use. Gramsway trades both.

Sourcing & Supply

Sourced principally from African and US origination networks, with onward distribution to textile and processing hubs across our operating regions.

Quality & Specifications

Lint graded on staple length, micronaire, and strength per international cotton classing standards; cotton seed assessed on oil content and quality.

Applications

Textile and yarn manufacturing for lint; edible oil or animal feed processing for cotton seed.

Our Edge

A single trading relationship for both cotton co-products, rather than managing lint and seed through separate counterparties.

03.6

Coffee, Cocoa & Spices

Origin-sourced soft commodities.

Gramsway trades coffee, cocoa, and spices sourced directly from origin markets, connecting smallholder and estate producers to roasters, processors, and manufacturers.

Sourcing & Supply

African origination is central to this category, supplemented by South American coffee and cocoa volumes.

Quality & Specifications

Grading by bean size, moisture, and defect count for coffee and cocoa; purity and volatile-oil content standards for spices.

Applications

Roasting and beverage manufacturing, confectionery and chocolate production, and food-grade spice blending.

Our Edge

Direct origin relationships that support traceability back to the farms and cooperatives we source from, increasingly a buyer requirement in these categories.

A.2

Animal Feed

Promoted from a grain by-product to a product line in its own right. Animal feed gets its own desk, not a share of the grain desk's attention.

03.7

Animal Feed

The nutrition layer between the harvest and the herd.

Animal feed sits between our commodity and allied-products businesses, turning grain and oilseed by-products into usable nutrition for livestock and aquaculture producers. Gramsway trades soymeal, DDGS (dried distillers grains with solubles), and other feed-grade ingredients as a standalone product line.

Sourcing & Supply

Sourced as a natural extension of our grain and oilseed origination in the US and South America, with distribution support from our Africa, Middle East, and Asia networks reaching feed compounders directly.

Quality & Specifications

Protein, fiber, and moisture content verified against contract and, where applicable, regional feed-safety regulations.

Applications

Compound feed manufacturing for poultry, swine, ruminant, and aquaculture producers.

Our Edge

A dedicated feed desk rather than a by-product afterthought, sized and resourced as its own line and backed by the same origination network that supplies our grain business.

A.3

Allied Products

Supporting agricultural growth beyond the harvest itself: the fertilizers, equipment, and information that make the next season possible, traded and supplied alongside our core commodity business.

03.8

Fertilizers

Crop nutrition, from plant to farm gate.

On the input side, we supply the fertilizers that keep farms productive season after season, working with producers and blenders to move product from plant to port to farm gate. The line spans nitrogen, phosphate, potash, and blended and specialty formulations.

Sourcing & Supply

Distributed through our Netherlands and Middle East offices into European, Gulf, and African markets, with Asia-linked supply supported from our Singapore and Hong Kong desks.

Quality & Specifications

Nutrient content and granulation verified against contract specification; exact grading criteria vary by fertilizer type.

Applications

Broad-acre, row-crop, and horticultural fertilization across every region we operate in.

Our Edge

Fertilizer distribution timed against our own crop-origination calendar, so we understand the planting windows our fertilizer customers are working against.

Fertilizer types at a glance

NitrogenUrea, ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulphate
PhosphateDAP, MAP, SSP, TSP
PotashMuriate of potash (MOP), sulphate of potash (SOP)
NPK & BlendedCompound and blended formulations for specific crop and soil needs
Specialty & MicronutrientSecondary nutrients and micronutrient blends
03.9

Farming Equipment

The machinery and tools behind a modern harvest.

Gramsway supplies and facilitates access to farming equipment, from basic mechanization tools to precision-farming attachments, supporting the productivity of the same farms we source from.

Sourcing & Supply

Distributed through partner manufacturers and regional dealers, coordinated by our African, South American, and Asian regional teams, where mechanization demand is growing fastest.

Quality & Specifications

Equipment supplied to manufacturer specification, with regional service and parts support arranged through local partners.

Applications

Land preparation, planting, irrigation support, and harvest equipment for smallholder and commercial farms alike.

Our Edge

Equipment access bundled with our fertilizer and commodity relationships, so farm customers can plan inputs and equipment together rather than through separate suppliers.

03.10

Weather & Crop Monitoring Systems

The data layer behind better sourcing decisions.

Gramsway provides access to weather forecasting and crop-monitoring tools (satellite imagery, soil and yield sensors, and seasonal forecasting) that help farmers and our own origination teams anticipate crop conditions ahead of harvest.

Sourcing & Supply

Delivered through technology partnerships, coordinated with our Research & Innovation team and deployed across the operating regions where crop-timing risk is highest.

Quality & Specifications

Data and forecasting accuracy benchmarked against regional agricultural authority sources where available.

Applications

Planting and harvest timing decisions, yield estimation, and early identification of weather-related crop risk.

Our Edge

Monitoring data feeds directly into our own origination and market-intelligence work. The same signal we act on ourselves is available to the farm partners we source from.

BServices

Services

How Gramsway moves what it trades, and how it keeps its sourcing and product decisions grounded in how farming is actually changing.

B.1

Freight & Logistics

A trade is only as good as the ship, truck, or silo that gets it there. Gramsway manages the physical movement of products across our full portfolio, end to end.

03.11

Freight & Logistics

Moving product from origin to destination, on schedule.

Freight & Logistics covers everything after origination: storage, port handling, freight, and the quality checks that confirm a cargo on arrival matches what left origin.

Sourcing & Supply

Silo, tank, and warehouse capacity positioned close to origin and destination markets; bulk loading and unloading at key gateways, including our Netherlands base serving the Port of Rotterdam; ocean, barge, rail, and road freight arranged to keep cargo moving on schedule.

Quality & Specifications

Independent inspection, testing, and certification at load and discharge, so every cargo meets contract specification.

Applications

Movement of agricultural commodities, animal feed, and fertilizers alike: any product line in our portfolio that needs to physically get somewhere.

Our Edge

One logistics relationship across every product line, instead of separate freight arrangements for grain, feed, and fertilizer.

B.2

Research & Innovation

Trading profitably over the long run means understanding how both our commodities and our allied products are produced, and how that production is changing. Three areas of work make up this line, each feeding directly back into what we source, stock, and recommend.

03.12

Agronomic & Crop Nutrition Research

Understanding what farmers put on their fields, and why it works.

We work with agronomists and research partners to understand how fertilizer application, seed choice, and crop input decisions affect yield and quality: the science behind the Allied Products and fertilizer lines we bring to market.

Sourcing & Supply

Conducted in partnership with independent agronomists, university extension programs, and fertilizer manufacturers across our operating regions, with field trial data drawn from the same farm networks we source from.

Quality & Specifications

Findings benchmarked against peer-reviewed agronomic research and regional soil and crop data, rather than manufacturer claims alone.

Applications

Advising our origination and fertilizer teams on input recommendations, informing which fertilizer blends and application timings we bring into the Allied Products line, and supporting farmer-facing guidance in our regenerative agriculture programs.

Our Edge

Research that feeds directly into what we recommend and stock, not a standalone publishing exercise disconnected from the trading desk.

03.13

Digital Agriculture & Traceability

Tracking a harvest back to the field it came from.

From satellite crop monitoring to digital origination records, we're investing in the data tools that make sourcing more transparent and supply chains easier to trace back to origin. This work also underpins our Weather & Crop Monitoring Systems offering.

Sourcing & Supply

Built through technology partnerships and our own origination data, covering satellite imagery, digital record-keeping at point of purchase, and farm-level data collection where infrastructure allows.

Quality & Specifications

Traceability records maintained to a standard that supports buyer due diligence and, where applicable, deforestation- and origin-verification requirements.

Applications

Supporting the ethical sourcing claims in our Sustainability program, feeding the data behind our Weather & Crop Monitoring Systems product, and giving buyers visibility into where a cargo actually originated.

Our Edge

Traceability built from our own origination process, not bolted on afterward. The record exists because we made the purchase, not because we ran a separate audit.

03.14

Sustainable Fertilizer Technology

Tracking where crop nutrition is heading, not just where it's been.

We track and evaluate emerging fertilizer technologies, including enhanced-efficiency and bio-based products, to keep our Fertilizers line aligned with where crop nutrition is heading, not just what's traditionally been available.

Sourcing & Supply

Evaluated in partnership with fertilizer manufacturers and agronomic researchers, with pilot use guided by the same regions and farm partners covered in our Allied Products distribution.

Quality & Specifications

New products assessed against efficiency, environmental impact, and cost-in-use before being added to our fertilizer offering.

Applications

Guiding which nitrogen-efficiency, bio-based, and specialty formulations we add to our Fertilizers and NPK & Blended lines.

Our Edge

A fertilizer business that evolves with the technology, rather than one that only ever stocks what's already established.
